Hip-Hop Culture and Positive Youth Development

Hip-Hop culture is examined within the context of human development over the life course with an emphasis on positive youth development. Cultural dynamics are viewed alongside the social and political history of the United States. Through the lens of Hip-Hop, students will use skills in reflection, discussion and creative expression to develop strategies for personal growth and well-being.

Students are expected to prepare a mixtape (or vlog) as part of their final project.  More.
