During this 9 months , I’ve healed my soul, renewed and strengthened my friendship with E, learned so much more about DJ Screw, bonded with Big Bubb, Will Lean, Big A, and DJ Red, met some amazing journalists and FANS, and made a lot of new friends (Thanks Patti 💛)!!! I mean @camhouston Slowed and Throwed Exhibit and opening night owes me NOTHING!! The 🔩 community did it ALL and patiently stood in line not only to get IN the building, but also to get into the archival space inside the exhibit... Y’all proved to so many people that not only is DJ SCREW still relevant, but HIP-HOP IS ART AND BELONGS IN MUSEUM SPACES! That makes the handful of people who do this work blending hip-hop into educational spaces very happy because you proved to the ones with “college education” that our hip-hop is RELEVANT!!! I LOVE YALL FOR THAT!! Thank you so much!! It took a 🔩 Village to pull this off but THIS village DID DAT SHIT!!!!
